Claygirlz is an independent, multidisciplinary design venture specialising in custom-commissioned 3D clay figure keychains. By blending structural product lifecycle management with targeted, trend-driven digital marketing, the project translates unique client reference images into a personalised, handcrafted product.
The process of creating the figures is collaborative. Clients submit design ideas through a form service; I then provided iterative 2D concept sketches for client approval before proceeding to hand-sculpting, baking, and gloss-finishing the figures.
I developed a high-contrast visual language using vibrant palettes and playful typography. This identity was created to resonate with modern internet subcultures and aesthetics.
To engage with my youthful target audience, I leveraged current social media trends, creating content using popular, trending audios. This marketing strategy successfully generated over 180k views across platforms.
To elevate perceived value and build loyalty, I engineered a memorable unboxing experience designed to drive word-of-mouth marketing.
Each custom figure is packaged with theme-matching packaging, including an illustrated thank you card and a personalized, handwritten note. This elevated user satisfaction and successfully encouraged organic social sharing.
